I was unexpectedly diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2024, which led me to have an operation in December and then started chemo in February 2025.
At my pre-chemo consultation, I was so anxious about starting the cycle and learning what my body would be going through in the coming months. During the appointment I was gifted a Super Scarf by Scamp & Dude. The scarf was more than just a stylish accessory; it became a kind of shield. I would wrap myself in it before heading to chemo sessions, almost like putting on armour.
During the journey, one of my sources of strength and comfort came from wearing my S&D clothing and wrap one of my many gorgeous scarves around me.
On my first chemo appointment, I was dressed top to bottom in S&D! This gave me a sense of security when everything else felt fragile.
The bold prints and vibrant colours gave me a small but significant confidence boost, reminding me that I could feel like me even when I was unwell. In addition to this, the Super Scarf mission of supporting people facing serious challenges resonated with me. Every time I wore my scarf, I felt a connection with the many women fighting this horrible battle, who were like me wrapped in something beautiful and powerful.
