Our Mission

We're making fashion a force for good through our responsibility to protect people and the planet by taking a considered approach when creating our products. We're committed to doing better and working to centre responsible practices that lessen our environmental impact at the heart of our company.

We're B Corp™ Certified

We were honoured to become B Corp Certified in 2023, a worldwide network of businesses that meet the highest standards for social and environmental impact. We surpassed the pass score of 80 with a total of 103.5 points, with 45.8 of these stemming from our dedicated community efforts.

Adding our voice to this important movement, has embedded environmental and social practice into our legal business structure, ensuring we consider people and the planet as important as making profit.

Our Purpose

We work with kindness, purpose and intention. Community and giving back sit at our heart, and together we have donated over £3m in cash donations and products and supported over 30 charity organisations. For every Super Scarf purchased, we donate another to a woman starting chemotherapy. Likewise, each Superhero Sleep Buddy purchased helps another little scamp in need, giving them extra comfort and cuddles when needed most.

Charities We Support

Since the start of Scamp & Dude in 2016, we're so proud to have worked with 36 incredible charities. Today, we continue to support amazing causes including Go Grab Life, Future Dreams, Young Lives vs Cancer, Choose Love Child Bereavement UK, plus previous partners still close to our hearts: Willow Foundation, Refuge, Mind, Diabetes UK, Parkinsons, The Dementia Choir, Wonder, Black Women Rising.

To date, we have donated over £3.18m in Scamp & Dude products and cash donations.

Our Product

We work with our suppliers and factories to create designs that are beyond ‘fast fashion’ and have a lasting place in your wardrobe. We produce intentional seasonal collections with just enough styles for versatility, without the excess, all with fabrics and processes that reduce our environmental impact.
Our team put our collections through their paces with stringent testing and ‘wearer’ trials to ensure durability through the quality of the materials we choose and standard of workmanship we expect. Product aftercare and care labels are also part of this; they also reduce the impact of our garments and extend their life once they leave our stores.

Our factories must also ensure that they meet all local and national laws concerning environmental issues. All of our manufacturing sites are assessed annually by independent auditors Sedex and Amfori to this globally recognised standard.

82% of our latest collection is made using responsible materials and processes including LENZING™ ECOVERO™, organic cotton, recycled polyester, sequins and polyester.

We give each of our denim styles an Environmental Impact Measure score (EIM) using Jeanologia technologies – it's like a responsibility MOT that tracks our impact on water, energy, chemicals and people. 85% of the current range is classed has a green EIM score which means a score of below 30.

Our People

Scamp & Dude are committed to respecting and protecting the human rights of the people who are working directly or indirectly for us, which is all apart of our purpose to make fashion a force for good.

We've adopted the Ethical Trading Initiative’s Base Code of Conduct which is founded on International Labour Organization conventions and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

All of our manufacturing sites are assessed annually by independent auditors Sedex and Amfori to this globally recognised standard.

It's also our responsibility to identify and address human rights risk in our supply chain, and we work in partnership with our suppliers on an ongoing basis to do this.

We've introduced a product safety management plan for the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), and an in depth supplier testing manual which ensures garments are safe and legally compliant and meet quality standards. This includes assessing fibre content, flammability, chemical restrictions, and physical properties like strength and durability. We have REACH and a metal contamination policy for all factory sites. REACH compliance, within the context of the EU's REACH regulation, refers to the adherence to rules and regulations concerning the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals.

We're a member of the UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT), which is the largest network for fashion and textiles in the UK. As the industry’s leading trade association and Sector Skills Body, the association is committed to delivering sustainable growth for the entire UK fashion and textile supply chain.
