Jo is wearing the Women's Classic Fit Sweatshirt & Nick is wearing the Men's Sweatshirt

We’ve teamed up with the charity Style For Stroke, founded by award-winning charity campaigner Nick Ede, to create limited-edition sweatshirts for men and women. Together, we want to show those affected by stroke and brain injury we’ve got their backs. Every five minutes, someone in the UK experiences a stroke. It could be a family member, a friend, or even you. That’s 100,000 each year.  Currently, there are 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK.

Nick Ede set up Style For Stroke to help improve stroke awareness in young people and raise support for brain injury research.

Meet four of our campaign stars, and founder Nick Ede as he tells us more about why he decided to collaborate with our founder Jo.

“I saw a synergy in our passion to support those in need in a way that is celebratory, inclusive and educative. Stroke can affect anyone of any age, any time and any place. This collaboration means so much to Style For Stroke as we are about empowerment and creating conversation while feeling good in the brands that we collaborate with. The slogan Kindness is a Superpower really resonates as every model our shoot has had a stroke, but they may not look like they have – it's important to remember that not all disabilities are visible.”

Our four models each shared their stories of brain injury recovery with us.

Alex is wearing the Oversized Sweatshirt

Presenter and professional ice skater Alex Murphy Klein had her stroke when she was just 24 years old. It left her unable to talk, walk or skate but she hasn't let this stop her; she became the winner of ITV show Dancing On Ice with her celebrity skating partner Joe Swash.

Content creator and ITV This Morning presenter Claire Sisk had her stroke aged 29, leaving her blind. She in fact had two devastating strokes but has since carved a career as a digital creator and presenter.

Joe is wearing the Men's Sweatshirt

Joe Marchant had his stroke when he was just 15, leaving him unable to speak or move his right side. He has since started to run his own roofing business, has completed the Great North Run, and even climbed Mount Snowdon. He's now engaged to get married.

Alisha is wearing the Classic Fit Sweatshirt

Alisha Malhotra had her stoke at 26. She lost her speech and spent five months in hospital. She has spent the past seven years rehabilitating herself and is currently Head of Youth for the incredible charity One Kind Act.

£12 of every sweatshirt sold will be donated to Style For Stroke foundation. Let’s show stroke and brain injury survivors we’ve got their backs.
